Distilling rum involves heating a “wash” of molasses or sugarcane juice that has fermented with yeast.  The vapors when cooled condense back to liquid of varying degrees of alcohol and quality known as the heads, hearts and tails.  The hearts are the good stuff from which quality rum is produced.

Join us as we explore the heads, hearts and tales (tails) of the rum trade.  This is a light humored site to share in the joys of rum and the activities and circumstances in which rum is consumed.
